The RIP is an awesome hull. Just don't expect to go WOT on it.I spoke to Pete Mac and he had good things to say about Jeff and his hulls! I called and talked to Jeff ( he did call me back the next day ) and he recommend his RIP hull for the type of riding that I plan to do! I'm still shopping around for other hulls and getting input from other riders!

Wide open throttle. It's hard to do on short freestyle hulls without getting bucked off. But, you can still comfortably chase boats semi fast.WOT?
Then you should definitely get a ripGot you! Ya I don't plan on going WOT!! I plan to go USD!!

I agree with this 100%, a REV will absolutely be no better in the surf than a RN superjet. Something slightly shorter and with a very slight amount of front rocker will make surf rides more enjoyable. A light, flatwater hull will wear you out and get bounced around too much to be good for surf riding. If you are in the "waves are jump" camp, then it doesn't really matter which hull you go with, those guys will claim a BOB is a good surf ski.I'd suggest the Rok. If you even have any surf in mind don't go out there on a Fw hull. You'll frustrate yourself and hate life. I actually like the way the roks ride and a buddy flips his no trim 61x in small surf. Plus a fw hull without a big motor is a dead end road. You are limited of chasing any boat, can't ride far or long distance, yet sucks in surf. Where least a longer hull with a 701 can get you to the large hits no issue or fights.
