Wdk Rok help needed

I have a few questions for wdk rok owners. I am working on installing my steering cable, and the standard fittings that screw into the hull appear to be the wrong thread size, it wont screw in farther than 1/4 turn. The next issue is that my blowsion trim cable will go about 6" into my trim tube, then it binds up and will not go any farther. Just wondering if anyone had any insight on either of these issues.

I think the thru hull fitting may be binding up becuase it is plastic on plastic, or if it is a used hull it may have some teflon from previous owner still in the threads.

Trim cable was a pain on mine also it does go through. blow some air through it, maybe something stuck.

What zach said, Mine needed the thread's cleaned off, but after that i had no problems with it screwing on. I did use teflon tape also.

As for the trim tube, get a flash light and see if you can look thru it. Mine had been plugged for no trim use and there was some excess silicon in there still.

I think he bought my old hull. It was assembled by Toby so the tubes may be a bit different than what is in most. I was running a thrust trim cable last time it was assembled. Steering fitting is/was OEM.

Also what intake grate does this hull use?

I lost a TBM grate and the thing handled horribly. It was actually scary at top speed. At 50 mph in chop it would suddenly and unexpectedly nose dive where the water starts going over the nose. It was a sudden stop that would throw me forward into the handlebars. It happened to me a good 6 times before I pulled on the beach and found my grate missing. I replaced with another TBM intake grate for a SXR. Bolted right up.

That ski rides ridiculously flat. I always ran a little static trim to keep that flat nose from plowing water.

I think the steering hull side is female 1/2npt or something close. Its different than an SXR fitting.

Since I was using SXR running gear, I had to make something up:

I was able to get one of these fittings to thread in http://www.swagelok.com/search/find_products_home.aspx?part=SS-810-1-8, had to drill out the inside of the fitting to get the steering cable to go through (I'd recomend going with a brass version of that fitting, easier to drill). The little C-clip fits perfect after removing the swagelok ferrule.

As for the trim tube, can you shine a light down it and see if something is in there or maybe put a hose down and blow it out? Maybe something is stuck or there is some resin or something.

SXR grate fits with SXR pump without much work (the lip on my ride plate was bit long, so I sanded the intake grate so they would butt up together)
