Sorry I didn't mean to sound like a jerk,my bad. I think most people don't feel it should come to that point, but it sounds like he has exhausted his resources and has no other option. You have a very good point on waiting too long. I'm sure it's a hard situation to be in. No one wants to go the legal route, but sometimes you have to just so you can get some cash back.

i know small claims has a time limit. it was 1yr a long time ago. as much as i hate bringing the authorities into anything, sometimes thats the only logical answer to some problems. i'm old school and i would rather take somebodies head off and thats just the interest on what they owe. you dont collect that way either, but it makes you feel like you confronted the situation, man to POS man. i was awarded the win in a small claims case in 1985 , i think. collecting was another story. i never got a dime. i also got a battery charge on my record, but that was back when battery was a measly couple hundred bucks. : )=

I wanna get my hands on his steering system. They're awesome. In all fairness, someone posted a positive feedback on Jeff last year and people thought it was safe to buy. I'm really surprised that Jeff hasn't gotten his ass kicked at world finals after reading boat loads of threads saying they're out $5k or $2k Or $500 bucks.

I purchased a WDK hood years ago but not off water dog himself and that hood was a big piece of crud. I never used it just threw it away.

Submarine from pwctoday has been warning people about waterloser since 02-03. People just should have listened.
I met jeff once and from the 10mins I talked to him I knew he was shady. I've also seen some of his hoods that were garbage.

About 4 years ago l fell into the same small hell hole with Jeff.l got "its on the shelf,looking at it right now.All l need to due is crate it up and she's on her way to you".So l gave him my amex card and he "hooked me" up! SO after almost two weeks go by and l get a call from Jeff."Man,l don't know,your card won't go through,DO you have another card l can use!?" Gave him my visa card.Called amex and basically they told me that don't "accept" anything from WDK's.

Long story short,7 weeks go by with the emails and phone calls go by without any contact from Jeff.Last day before l had to pay cc bill and l denied the charge.

So there is another story for all you great sincere guys that like to "put your hand into the rattlers cage (thanks Buzz,for that analogy!)"

And then you bought a highroller stunt!? You really dodged a bullet there.

thats BS or you can read minds. jeff is cool to talk to and you cant know his business practices unless you deal with him yourself or you are informed by others. i would continue to do business with him if he had what i needed and i made sure what i needed was in my hand before i sent him payment. thats how it worked the last time i got something and thats the only way it will work.

2 steering systems were also in this deal. They did show up but this was also 6 or 7 months late. Like i said in the OP i had dealt with him on several bottom decks and that deal went surprising well. So i took another chance. No one to blame but me. I'm a pretty laid back person so i chose the route #1 matt had described. We had been in sparce contact so i had hoped that he would take care of this. Now 3 months and nothing.I have all the texts and messages with him. Also all the MO receipts that were sent to him. Looks like the next step will be legal action. Not really wanting to do this but also not willing to lose money to someone like this. Still plenty of time to file a claim though.
