I have stripped the hull back down after my quicky end of season assembly and have a decent list of modifications for this winter.

Current list of to-dos:
Smooth out the intake tract on the hull
Widen tray and remove humps on gunwales
Replace failing PVC exhaust tube with aluminum
Close off hoodliner after modding for dry pipe clearance
Cut rear of hull ~4"
Replace seadoo drains for under tray area with 701 Ind drain plugs
Replace AC handpole with KP Freeride adjustable
Bolt on Blowsion Destroyers
Add bilge pumps
Engine will be 718, ported 62t cases, protec cylinder, dual 46s and an ADA head.

The total for the shipping was $117 USD with insurance, the price of the pole obviously varies depending on anodizing. Overall Knoxie was a great guy to deal with, great communication, can't wait till I get my hands on it.

Got my handpole in, I seriously recommend the KP pole if you're looking for a nice sub-$1000 handpole. Today I mocked up the destroyers, started re-shaping the gunwales and widening the tray. Still trying to decide how much to cut off the rear.

Gunwales are already looking MUCH better already.
Thanks, I never liked the gunwales the way they were, now it looks sort of Superfreak-ish but it also makes the hull look REALLY long.
I really like the way your hull is going, I wanted to add some rocker this winter but I think I am going to hold off till next winter and see how it rides like this. The way this thing is constructed I am not sure I can go about it in the same way you are and I would have to rework the tubbies.

This build has been on and off, first priority has been house projects and getting everything ready for my first child to come in February. Then, just the other day, I picked up an '87 KDX 200 for a song. This thing has a pile of aftermarket parts including a 240 big bore kit, got it home and cleaned the carband it fired after a handful of kicks all for $160! This may actually get bumped up in line in front of the XJet.

I did do a bit of work on the ski too, started reshaping the footholds and widening the tray. I originally intended to widen the entire tray but I think, for this year I am going to just focus on the foothold area and a front foothold. This thing had pretty much an entire trays worth of bad fiberglass work, poorly adhered, too much resin, not enough resin, hugepiles of thickened resin, I had to sand through all of it. Fortunately I discovered the flapper wheels for an angle grinder work 100,000 times faster than an orbital sander.

The tray is coming along nicely.

I know EXACTLY how you feel! I also discovered the usefulness of the flap wheel lol.

Looking good and awesome
Bike grab! I can tell you I'm at -2 and no foam and wish I had gone shorter. Just my opinion but there isn't a lot of us x jet owners out there.

Yeah, I think -4" is going to be the sweet spot, I probably have the most rare setup being an XJet bottom with large pump cavity and destroyers.

Well, my little guy came a couple weeks early and this build has stalled out. I never got my heater installed in my garage so likely the glass work will be put off for a couple months. I did get going on collecting parts for my new engine, picked up some 62T cases an R&D intake and a ProTec cylinder.

Congrats. I have a 5 month old now and I get to work on my ski about 30 minutes at a time. START A SLEEPING SCHEDULE ASAP!! I had my son sleeping in his crib and sleeping 6 hours at night by 2 and a half months old. He sleeps from about 10:00 pm to7:30am now and he's teething. I have friends with 9months olds and some with 3 year olds and their kids still crawl in bed with em because they let em sleep with them so long. Enjoy
