I think the AMA did their best to make the season points battle closer, lol. RV is the man, when he is on, he is the best, but docking him three positions between the start and restart was crap. He should have been docked 3 positions from his finishing score. What they did amounted to nothing more than a slap on the wrist.

Still, was the best race I have seen in years.

Hey Scottie, your in a 20 lap Main on your blaster, you miss a bouy and do not pick it up. you get put a lap down, but you keep fighting and you lap the entire field putting you back in first. How is this different than what they did, he still had to make up the positions which he did.

Then he should have been docked a lap. By moving him back 3 positions with 17 laps to go, they basically turned a blind eye to what happened. Had that been Joe Nobody on a privateer effort, they would have been docked a lap. That's why Emig made such a big deal about them handling it the way they did.

To put it in jet ski terms, if I missed a bouy and didn't pick it up, by the AMA standards, I would have simply lost three positions on the 2nd pole positon start.

the coverage is horrible. Complete bs we didn't get the see the start. CBS should give it up. The 3hr coverage of practice streaming online is better than the race. And it's pretty obvious that Ralph Sheheen would kill to be JS7's seat for a race. Speed at least covers the 250s.. Dean Wilson was faster than all but two 450s this past weekend and looked smoother than anyone there. Sucks watching a day after it happened too. Oh and if you're a road racing fan... speed dropped all coverage for that this year. More space for the latest up to date Danica info.... oh and Pinks All Out / Pass Time re-runs.

I totally agree, the coverage sucks. I mean, we had one of the few times in recent years where all the top guys were in the top 5 - RV, JS, CR, RD - and what does cbs do with 4 laps remaining???? They focus on Trey Canard in 8th. Seriously????

But, at least it was on TV, I guess we should be thankful for that.

i agree with all the above, cbs sucks. feld gets more then good enough ratings on speed to make it worth while. live on speed for all rounds, it should be!! i was fine with the 3 position penalty for the first infraction but when he passed for lead on the crossed medical flag for the second time he should have been penalized some how. i know he would have passed js7 anyway but in that situation js7 was clearly conceding going fast for the down rider. would have made all respect the 2time champ if he would just have not taken the cheap pass. i know they had just moved into the part of the track where only yellows were waving but if you watch close 51 could have made the same cheap move on both leaders but checked up to stay safe. i honestly hate js7 for his misuse of great talent but if i were Suzuki i would def protest. if for no other reason then protecting the 18 and the point lead.

The reason Speed chose not to cover Saturday night was the Nascar Nationwide race was on the same time. You can pretty much bet that any night Nationwide race will trump the Supercross race in terms of order. Suck, I would much rather watch the Supercross live, but it is what it is.

I watched the video this morning. Looked to me that RV may have thought he was cleared of the Flag, you see him pass the Yellow, then the Astrisk Flag then another yellow, then it looked clear from there.
