No big long story...
93 hull
footholds made by mouthfulloflake a while ago
my homemade hood designs, still original slutty hood mood idea
RN pole that I broke shorted 3-4 inches

Motor I built using a 61x ported cyl, 61x bottom end, 6m6 crank, stock bore
44 sbn mikuni
msd enhancer
Factory dry type 4 pipe
stock head
msd boots and retainers, very good purchase
internal fuel fill
blew up waterbox last year so I need a new one been borrowing one for a while

Beat the ski to heck last summer, broke lots of stuff, dont really care what it looks like anymore, as long as it runs. I love this mind set of not caring about looks anymore. Lots of rushed projects to get on the water, like the ugly pole reinforcing. Put a small hole in the bottom riding lake superior november 12th with it snowing and 10-15 foot swells. Came home to 3 inches of snow and had to keep it inside because there was so much water inside.

So future plans are quicker steering probably xmetal, I need to glass in my new hood liner I made last week, redo the fuel lines and pick up a jss filter, might go back to the stock air filter now that my carb problems are fixed and ruled out that being the problem, waterbox, and thats about it, oh and I kinda need a girdled head because I dont want to crack that $$ cylinder.

I am going to have to try that waterbox mod...that is why my nose is so heavy. How the hell do you get fuel to your pickup with the gas tank routed like that?

You mean gas tank mod? The tan fits how it normally would and the lines wrap around towards the front of the ski in the pickup, well line because I have no reserve, the return goes where it normally does.

Yami-Gold Top

Kinda reminds me of a Les Paul Gold Top guitar - very cool. How's that Factory 4 -single carb setup workin'? Was thinking of trying the same combo out on my SN. And yeah a good idea to get that thing girdled, or you may have an expensive paperweight (ported cylinder) revin' to the moon!!! Been there / done that...

The carb and type 4 for is okay, I really dont know the potential of the setup, but I know its got more. Id like to get a head after a lil spring riding, tweak some more and then switch to a bigger single carb.

a freestyle squarenose? ~ I learned how to barrel roll on one, they are good boats, so good that Yamaha did not change the bottom hull design for 17 years!!! the only thing different is the top half and your desire to mod the hell out of that thing!!!

a good rider will always break stuff and your lack of care of how it looks tells me that you actually try to ride that thing! keep it up! mine needs to be repainted every 1-2 seasons with new turf and hand grips- its abused but that's riding! I want to see more pictures of your damages- good stories always come from it

The "weird" in the title is meant to be a joke, seems that everyone is rockin the squarenose these days.
Last summer damages was, well to the body dislocated shoulder in Daytona in March, but broke the handlepole base and fixed, little nose damage, spider cracks on the hood from pancakes and a weak broken hood liner. Oh and an engine fire, long story.

err jus ride, thats my motto right now. Theres so much I want to do to this ski and I just cant afford it, Ideally I would like a 10,000 dollar freestyle boat but aint happenin right now.

Did this a few weeks ago but finally built a solid hood to hold up to pancakes, got an ada head at around 180 psi, and put the stock flame arrestor back on, ski runs great, but still need more powa. Also d cut the plate which made a nice difference especially with a full tank of gas.

How do you like the performance of the Type 4 dry pipe? Have you ever compared you boat to a similarly modded boat with a B-Pipe?

I hoping to do a similar hood mod next winter.

I love your ski, looks awesome. :arms:
