Super Jet Weird starting issue??

Ya what everyone is saying,
Before going any further, swap with known good battery.
I've seen batteries that say their fully charged not work at all... or work just enough to run a bilge

Well I went ahead and found a used solenoid jay in case. But if my battery was in fact bad or dead why would it start when u used a remote starter and jumped the solenoid terminals?

It wont, if you jumped and it started you are fine to change the soleniod. Just trying to help you with understanding the thought process for this time and next. There will be a next time. lol We just dont want people to assume and make the same mistakes we all have already made.

I checked the connections and they all were tight on both ends. I couldn't see the connections on the starter, but when I put my pipe on they all looked clean. The ski doesn't have very many hours on it and has never been in salt. Can a bad relay still click but not activate the starter?

i had this happen in an old waverunner 500. relay would click but nothing happened. i rebuilt the starter and bench tested it ok.put it back in, nothing. grabbed the volt meter, battery was charged, but on the started side the relay would click but no power went to the starter.

Yeah, seems this is my problem. New relay should be here tomorrow ill report my findings!

Was the relay...threw the new one in and it's ready to go!
