Weld Cracked Dome?

Well Pro-Tec has interchangeable domes in stock, & can sell me a pair (one as a backup) machined to match the 86mm bore for $120. I may go that route pending talking to Paul.

Het Robert, does anyone at Advanced Machining do aluminum welding? I've ~some~ work related business with them...:sneaky:

I'm sure. I have a Miller 350 amp Syncrowave at my work. A small crack should take me about 2 minutes to weld. I do a lot of business with Advanced Machining because of my work, plus that is where I got all the new aluminum for my pontoon boat. I'm sure he will help us out.

Well after talking at length w/Wamilton & finding out how much time & money :bigeyes::bigeyes: went into this (last over) cylinder I've decided not to risk it. I sent the cracked dome to Pro-Tec so they can match it up w/theirs & machine it to 86.0mm & get the same volume.

I appreciate the help & offer Robert, you too Nick.:hail: I just don't wanna risk this cylinder w/no overbores left. BTW the Tubbies ROCK!:woot::woot::woot::woot::woot:
