I tried to dig up a pic of the bruise on yer but to get it painted that color-couldn't find the pic tho. LOL
 
Before you mount that lexan window did you try to see how much you can see with the hood on... There won't be any light in the engine bay so you can see the fuel level. Look at that 2nd pick with the hood on it is pitch black in there... You need to build a pezo igniter in the tank so that you can see the fuel level. ...


I was just chiting you on the igniter but it might need a light...

I was checkin the situation w/the hood on and as long as its a sunny day, no problem. I figure I will try it a while, and if it goes tits up, then I can always order the Blowsion cover/filler later.

If you wanted to make it have a cool effect and light up the bilge, you could find a 12v white LED light bar with the new style high brigtness LEDS. Make sure it is waterproof and mount it on the rear battery side corner of the tank. You could switch it with the bilge pump and it would be plenty bright for viewing the gas level and it would hardly draw any current, so no battery drain worries like with a power hog incandescent lamp.
