Here are some pics of the waves and weather we got out here! Its hard to tell how big the waves are from the pictures b/c they are taken from about 90 ft from the water surface.

Do you have your ski with you?

No I wish! I am trying to figure a way todo that... We are only 18 miles out so if you could bring one out with you that would be awesome!

you must be hard up if that looks good to you.

The camera I have is crap and its hard to catch how big the waves are from 80+ feet up. But trust me in person they are huge. There were 15 ftrs measured at the buoy that is close to us. Check out my other thread about the surf report. 40 MPH winds, etc...

what are u on!? are you diggin for black gold?

Jack-Up Oil Rig, we are drilling for whatever we can find... usually all three (Oil, Gas, and Water)... We aren't doing anything right now b/c we are fixing to move south but all operations are suspended until the weather gets better. They can't use the cranes or anything in this wind. Not mention the rig is rocking 3-4 deg in each direction.

thats what i was thinking, thats some stormy soup! wave height isnt the only basis for judging surf!

Some of us have to take **it when we can get it, no matter what. Not that I'd ride that, or the poster for that matter, but when we need to shred, true diehards don't get choosy. Most of us unfortunately do not have a break like Pismo at our disposal. Soup is good food sometimes.

I live on the other side of the gulf from where that pic is taken. I might ride it but it would probably be more work than fun.

whats the biggest sea;s you;ve ever sceen out there monkey....gotta be 40+ no>>?

Personally the biggest I have ever seen out here on the rig were 20-25ft'rs... That was back during Hurricaine Season. I have only been working out here for 8 months So I am sure they can get bigger. The all look small from 90ft up its when you are on the boat and the crash over the top that u realize how big they are!
