Wet Suits...

3/2mm just isn't enough for me, that Atlantic is mighty cold and has a whole bunch of ice bergs in it.

Speaking of wetsuits, I was wearing my top yesterday (the gulf was 73*F so I toughed it out without the bottoms) and after just a few minutes of riding I was getting major Popeye forearm syndrome. It got so bad that I couldn't hold on to the bars and had to rough it out for the rest of the day wetsuit free.
It's not all that tight when I first put it on, snug yes but not tight. I just can't seam to handle anything tight on my forearms but getting a wetsuit 2 sizes bigger would be a total waste as well.
Do the better wetsuits stretch more than these Jetpilot/ Slippery things ??

i have the same problem as soon as anything tight on my arms i get really bad pins and needle in my hands and forearms pump up solid , i even stopped wearing my rash shirt in the warm water as it was causing it as well

I'm a huge wuss when it comes to the cold. Today was in the high 30's low 40's in GA. My office fluctuated between 70-73. I wore one of my big wind breaking fleeces zipped up to my chin all day while sitting at my desk inside and my feet were cold with wool socks on. I wear a 3/2 wetsuit with dive booties and waterskiing gloves. Based on the last two years I went to Daytona... When the sun is out, I am happy and have actually gotten hot when not riding. I can usually ride about 2 gallons of fuel before my feet are too cold to continue riding. My body is usually still good at that point though. When I come in, I sit in the car for a few minutes with the heat cranked on my feet...lol I don't remember my hands getting cold though. My waterskiing gloves are kevlar/leather palms with maybe 1mm neoprene on the outside and I wear them year round but they get uncomfortable when the air temp drops below about 55.

Hopefully that helps you compare to your needs.

Yes. A quality dive wetsuit can be very stretchy. The titanium suits offer more warmth so you could potentially get away with a thinner wetsuit. I personally don't own a really nice wetsuit but I have noticed that the better the wetsuit, the nicer the neoprene is and the less it squeezes you. A newer wetsuit stretches a little better than the same wetsuit that's older as well. Lastly, a completely saturated wetsuit will stretch significantly more than a dry one.
