Wetjet 46's versus new SBN 46's

Is there a difference? I plan on putting them on a Boyeson manifold on 62T cases.

I thought a read somewhere that dual carbs need to be matched. True?

I also heard that Wetjet 46's are the same but have a different bolt pattern. True?

If so, will sending them off to TS fix the carb matching problem?

You cannot match carbs like that. The internal fuel circuitry is different. (I am speaking in general, not about the 46SBN and Wetjet carb in particular)
In order to fit the Wetjet carb on standard manifolds, you need to enlarge boltholes as their spacing is wider than standard. You may run into clearance issues with duals because of that, I don't know.

But don't stick one Wetjet and one SBN 46 on there. Use two of the same.

Talk to Chucky, he knows these carbs.

All 3 skis in our group run the WetJet carbs (on R&D manifolds) and all are doing just fine.

The bolt spacing is not much of an issue.

I planned on calling there tomorrow, but figured I would ask anyway. They told me sbn 46's would do me just fine and I found some wetjet carbs for cheap. I knew they were supposed to be about the same, but I wasn't sure.

If the price is right than grab the WetJet carbs.

They run just fine.

Dumb question...but are you sure they're 46's? Wetjet came with 44s and 46s. The 46's will require oblonging of the holes to fit a standard manifold, but like stated above...no biggie.

seems like a nice deal, although you gonna need a coupler kit to connect the carbs... not sure how much those are.

sorry to but in but do the 46 sbn's have the same size jets and spring and all that? could i just swap basically everything from the sbn 44?

the parts fit, but the jetting will most likely not be the same.

...or you could use the coupler from your current carbs, mix and match the parts accordingly, and sell your stock 38's individually.

Those are the exact same carbs I run.

You will need shaft kits and coupler. They will need to be rejeted to your motor setup. The holes will need to be opened up a bit.
With all that they are still a great deal.

I got the guy to sell me two for $100. Much to my wife's chagrin, I guess this build is gonna happen. In the very least I'm gonna have a TS ported cylinder with dual 46's to add to my pipe, head, and TL. Now all I need is an awsome deal on a Chuckified Boyeson 62T manifold and reeds. If not I guess I will hog out my oem one....for now.

Hog out your current one... Much cheaper. Bring it by my house and I'll hog it out. I've got RN intake gaskets that came with my top end kit that I can't use as well.
