Wetjet intake

Location

Hi everyone! I received my Wetjet intake (thanks Blasterdude!) and am getting everything setup to throw it on. I was curious if I should clean up the inside a little. I know it's not supposed to be a mirror finish on the inside but is the factory rough texture optimal?

On the intake side will have the Wetjet 46mm SBN Carb, OceanPro Vortex flame arrestor, Wetjey intake, and Boysean two stage reeds. Hopefully this makes for a solid 61x single carb setup. I'm just trying to get a little more responce if polishing helps.

thanks, thats good to know since Im about to put one on mine too.
I was looking at the casting marks and rough sides and wondering if a quick flapwheel in there would help

Unfortunately I haven't thrown it together yet. These intakes are one piece so the reed cages bolt straight to the intake eliminating the separate piece between the intake and the case. I'll be sure to let you know how it performs once I get it on the water!

Cleaning up the casting marks to improve air flow will only help. Will it help enough to notice, probably not.
