I can't believe Stone didnt show up for real.

I strongly believed he couldve won that thing.

I think he definitely could of been in the running for #1 or top 3 for sure.
What i heard from some european freestylists was that he didnt want to compete against the EME, and since he didnt have one, he didnt show... I dont think thats much of a excuse with his skills, but thats just what i heard..

not knocking the kid's ability but that is just a cop out.... because he didn't have one, he didn't want to compete against it? i agree he has the skills to do it be he must not have been confident in himself...

go back one or two years ago when he packed up and left england because the EJSBA wouldn't let him compete in i think it was beginner or novice ski stock the year after he had won the Am. Freestyle World Championship. don't get me wrong but if you win a world championship in any disclipline, you should not be running the lower experience level in another discipline.

he left england?

and what does freestyle have to do with racing? you can be the best backflipper in the world and be the worlds crappiest racer at the same time

He was wanting to race Novice or Expert and they were going to force him to race in a lower class, said he did not have the experience. Which the promoters have that right, you do not just sign up and race "Pro" and expect to be able to safely run with the big dawgs, sounds like the promotor was looking out for everybodys best interest.

Why does it matter why Lee didn't compete? He has his reasons, he doesn't have to satisfy you guys.

uh Pastranna didnt exactly tear up the race track............
he had his moments.........

true but he can backflip and still ride the course with the best of them,

but he was making the point that you can be the best at one and the worst at the other. if we want to get back to ski's on this... Macc won AM freestyle in the mid to late 90's and went on to become one of the top racers in the world....

Actually that would have been early 90's when competing in freestyle was part of how you got all your points (almost an requirement) so was running Slalom, and Mac hated it (freestyle)........

actually, pastrana has always been a GREAT MX rider...

just look at the video from qualifying at Daytona SX last year.

He was challenging ivan tedesco (the national champ that year) for 1st during their entire moto.... till he went down..

kinda like bubba...... all good till he goes down
