Freestyle What are everyones recommendations to turn a super jet into a freestyle ski

2003 super jet, factory b pipe,factory milled high compression head and hooker impeller. other than that its stock.

what does everyone recommend to make it a freestyle ski? not flat water! I'm already planning on shortening the hull, putting foot holds in, lowered hood nose piece and handle pole bracket, and xmetal trim kit. What else should i do? thanks

0 degree bars, bilge pumps

IMO...take care of the hood first....ditches weight....keeps water out.

Then a 1100GPH fully auto rule bilge pump with the jetworks 1 1/8" exit pisser.

Then rip it!

I have never liked trim but that is just my opinion.

If you plan on going big... reinforce the engine compartment with carbon fiber. If you are going to be doing rolls and over or under rotate during re-entery, there is a weak spot near the rear of the tray that needs reinforcement as well. I think there is a couple good pics in the carnage section...

I would find a cheap 701cc+ square nose that you can thrash on, sell the '03 and take that money plus what you expected to put into those upgrades and build a BOB, rickter, (etc) hull.

Also, you can save some cash by using the trim system from a Raider vs. the Xmetal ($300+).

Definately get yourself an MSD and a ligtened flywheel. More importantly if you plan on riding it much in Alaska i would recommend a wet/dry suit lol
