Super Jet What are you guys using for hood seals?

OEM hood seal. Don't block the holes on the front of the hood, your engine needs air, unless you have a setup like RRP that lets air in from the pole.

I'm not trying to plug the holes. I am looking to maybe screen the front ones to limit the amount of water that can be forced into it doing nose stabs/subs. Trying to see if someone else has done this before. I do not want to limit it too much.

Do you guys ever have any problem with water while running flame arrestors on your ski? Took mine out for the first time yesterday and it ran great until I started doing some dives. After a dive it would bog immediately and take a good 2-3 minutes to blow it out. I am guessing that the hood seal is not working since I tried to go the cheap route (home depot) and possibly the two air holes on the bottom of the hood. I do not want to hydro lock my engine so I am trying to figure out the best way to stay sealed from the water but keep consistent air flow.

How are you guys set up?

I run a lowes weather strip and the surf seal some guy sells on here. With just the surf seal i still got a bunch of water doing a sub, after i added the lowes weather stripping barley any water got in.

I ordered a Watcon and a surf seal from Graffix on here. A buddy of mine runs both of them and the seal is really tight.

The main thing I am worrying about now is how to do the tubing underneath my hood. With my twin arrestors I can't fit the normal rubber tube on the right side of it. Trying to figure out what I can use to turn the tube so it doesn't bump my intake.

Just get a watcon and a bilge pump. If you don't' want to dish out the extra $$ for a stock watcon works fine. I choose to use it and don't have any problems.

Water will get in, you want to minimize it then get it out as quickly as possible.
