that jettribe looks pretty nice, Id like to hear more feedback. anyone?

I have a Slipppery Switch which is pretty good. I have a lightweight neoprene, non USCGA that I don't like much.

I have a Helium vest...don't like it. Too heavy and restrictive. I got the Helium when Sterns was blowing them out for like $35. Most of the ones posted above are also neoprene, not sure on all though.

My next vest will probably be the Jettribe one I posted earlier, USCG approved or not (unless I can find another similar vest). I'll probably pick one up as Surf Slam if they show up with the trailer again. Yes, some of you will scoff at the nylon construction, but I was wearing nylon vest for years and years before neoprene ones came out. I never had any problems with mildew or rot as stated.

My opinion, look for a vest in nylon with non-absorbing foam. My Helium is made of absorbing neoprene with absorbing foam (or is it just more neoprene, or maybe sponges IDK), it starts off heavy, then gets wet and heavier. You hold that Jettribe one wet, it doesn't weigh much more than dry.

I like these...lots of protection and flotation. I have a Slippery Matrix vest, but they don't make them anymore. I ALSO HATE neo vests.

I have that, it's a very serious vest. Love how the chest padding is thicker than the back, so if you get KTFO and are laying face down, it will flip you over. Side entry is schweet too, and it is coast guard approved. You guys that ride in comp vests make me nervous. If you get knocked out you may sink before anyone can find you quick enough to save you. :eek:uch:
