i need to pick up a set of 1 1/8 bars to use with my new 701 steering on my blaster
whats everyone running ? pros cons? ive been reading alot of posts and know its all preference but i wanna hear what people suggest
and what you guys like. It will be a surf ski with some freeriding but mainly surf

this was a stock 1995 blaster that im building for this season, i never rode on before so its being put in the water modded right off the bat from what ive read and fellow riders help/ knowledge. Im comming from the dark side ( KAwasaki X2s) so this ski is all new to me but been riding x2s and standups for years so not worried about me not being able to ride this thing

so lets hear what fat bars you like on the blasters

thanks guys

Running RRP 75 m rise fat bars with extensions! Most guys like the MX style bars, as we discussed, preference and height will come into play for bar selection, taller rider=taller bars.

Let us know how she runs!

sell it......you won't be disappointed. Never have to worry about changing out bearings and you can adjust the throw to your riding experience.

you definitly wont be dissapointed. i have had many different aftermarket steering on different skis and the 701 steering for my blaster is by far the best designed and best quality system ive had for any ski.

They are slightly closer but will be fine. if your using stock steering and big bar adaptors they line up fine. Most after market clamps have the wider mount as far as I know. Mini bars have the same clamp width as stock blasters. Also mini bars aren't super wide

image.jpg Do not run renthals. This is on a set that was a few rides old on the river, not the surf. It was a eye opening event at about 45 mph. Pro tapers have been indesrtuctible on my dirt bike for about the last 12 years on the same bars

Wtf. I had the same problem with pro tapers. I have never had a problem with renthals in over 30 years of moto x
