SX/SXi/SXi Pro what chamber is this?

Working on a friend's 750. Not familiar with this exhaust setup. It hits really nice but not consistently. It'll either jerk your arms or fall on it's face which is what I'm trying to fix. Jetting is off I suspect, adjusters are turned way out. Trying to get some specs but have no clue what this chamber is. Help! Thanks.

in all the years i have been ripping skis to shreads, i have never seen this exact pipe. back in the day, everybody and their brother was jumping on the aftermarket parts band wagon. all the big names, westcoast, pjs, ocean pro, mariner, we all know. less popular brands like fisher, jetpro,OCJS,dajon made parts but were rare.they are all extinct now! this is a rare one. basically a half pipe since it uses the stock head pipe section. i had a couple fisher 1/2 pipes that were rare also. this one basically increases chamber volume over the stock bread box exhaust. probably works as intended. better than stock but not as good as a full pipe. its going to take a dinosaur from back in the day, to actually recognize and tell what that pipe is. raw stamped stainless with stock 650 pipe looking construction. maybe something from japan. had to revise and tell crab , i'm stumped.

it could be a tnt pipe or a similar knock off they only made like 200 they are a limited class racing pipe. if the carbs are off another ski then could be jetting. with a non stock air filter like a k&n and that exhaust you would need to go up a jet from stock but as far as settings you just have to play with it. They don't make carb settings for motors with am heads, pipes, possibly not stock carbs unless its a sxi pro so you have to play with them to set it up.
we put a dual carb set up on a friends and the settings for high where over 2 turns out because the carbs were meant for a different ski. just turn the high setting all the way en and adjust both carbs out a 16th of a turn out at a time until it runs right . must do this in the water so the pump is under a load.

this one is on my ski currently and works better than a stocker but like buzzard said it is no full pipe. ski 005.jpg

that center bleed goes right back to the stock waterbox. most AM pipes back in the day, did not require a rejet, just a screw turn. i never turn screws a grunion at a time. i make bigger adjustments so i can tell if i'm going the right way or wether a rejet is required.

Its a 95 sxi, dual cdk2's, prok fa's... Low speed adjusters are nearly 3 turns out. Highs are 1.5. I'm pulling them now to see what jets are in there. Thanks guys

that stamping looks the same. probably made at the same company just sold under different brands. factory pipe stamped just about all the exhaust stuff back in the day and put PJS, mariner, jetco and other brands on it.

true it is faster that way but to dial it in 16th is the way to go ofcourse that can be done after you play with full and half turns to see wich way to go or if you need to jet up.

About 2 summers ago, someone had that ski running like a banshee.Wonder what happened?

The mechanic has since been hit really hard in the head and can't remember what he did to it 2 yrs ago.

Carbs are pretty nasty this time around. milky white gunk and possibly cat hair. Diaphragms are wrinkled and bubbled. Pretty sure the fuel restricter was clogged leading into the second carb. Think I may drill it out and put a restriction in the return line.
