What do I need to know about a Lithium Battery?

I just purchased a ski and it had this ATZ7-8 Lithium AntiGravity battery in it. I have seen a few posts about some WPS batteries popping open, read others get water in them and catch fire, horror stories go on etc.

I was told he sealed this battery and it should be good to go. However he said it may need to be replaced as it has at least one season on it and didnt seem to like taking a charge.

So, I am looking for advice on batteries that are good for a 900+cc motor with MSD TL system (PN 42351 to be exact). What is the best care and maintenance for them? Sounds like pulling them after each ride is the way to go. Really any advise is helpful. I have absolutely no knowledge in this department.

I usually just plug the charger I bought for the battery in after each ride. It came with a little harness that attached to the battery and has an inline fuse. (Battery Tender) So it’s just a simple plug ,the red light comes on when it’s charging turns green when fully charged and shuts off automatically and I just forget about it till I ride again. A good idea to unhook neg terminal and or remove battery but I never do . Extreme temperatures are the enemy of Any battery especially lithium. DONT try and charge when it’s to cold or to hot otherwise the battery will be junk. This is in the manual and when they say <32F or above 120F there not lying. The battery is toast If you do.
