what do you do to prevent back injury?

Another thing to consider is your posture throughout the day. Are you sitting half the time or standing in one spot? This is usually the main cause for low back, knee, and shoulder injuries.

Rule of thumb is do the opposite of whatever is causing you pain. People who have stronger legs that are flexibile generally have less back pain. I can't reiterate enough how important it is to have great hip, hamstring, and ankle flexibility if you want to stay out of pain.

Riser bars ................... when you loose your ski and you have to get back on that's where you do all your core excercises trying to pull yourself up and on to the tray.Having them will teach you to never take chances so you won't learn anything new. Riser bars are for motorcycles.

I've never felt that way at all, but I'm coming from a conversion hood which is much harder to remount.

If they work for you that is cool. I like the elbows on top of the tray area when remounting ski. This may actually be a crutch and be bad for elbows.Maybe I just need to do more pull ups to kick the elbow thing.I started to fit the riser thing on my ski and then had to stop and say what am I gaining? Then I went back to old set up.My back was doing great riding 2 times a week then I injured myself riding moto and took off a month then strained a muscle in my lower back riding in the surf. So it's time to recover.Suggestions?
