I am wanting a WR or CRF450X to maek a dual sport out of. This one seemed like a somewhat fair deal since the bike is new and already has a $500 Dual Sport conversion kit from Baja Designs on it plus the tires! But then again I like my money in the bank. I am trying to sell my quad for 3k but I would send it down the road for 2k. I will probably just part it out this winter.

I just need someone to either talk me into or out of this bike...

thats a 450x...its a dirtbike, not a "dual sport".....

converting an off-road only bike to street legal isnt as easy as it sounds....its a state to state thing



since that thing has never been titled you could street tag it in florida....

Yeah that is about the price for a DRZ400. DRZ's suck compared to a CRFX or WR. Like comparing a Lamey RN to a stock 650 Square sucking...

A new 2009 450 is now 7500!

I want it more for woods but also so I can cruise to the trails without loading up the truck.


It is already three years old so I think 5k would be better. They got ripped at the stealership I assume. If it was 5k I woudl already be driving there. I think I am going to wait.

it's not a horrible price.

that being said though...I'd pass on it. There are better deals to be had. ever look at a 450 exc? comes with a clear title from the factoy.

I think it would go great in your mom's or grandparent's garage while you spend more money on crap you don't need .... instead of becoming an independent almost 30 something. Great investment! NOT. You want to ride trails, take that piece of crap 4 wheeler you have out. You couldn't handle an 80 much less a 450 anyways. :wavey:

If you want dependable the klr is a excellent bike they are real stable however they are not a wheelie bike. I love mine I have had it about 2-3 month's

I'd have to disagree on that point.

My '87 klr250 likes popping wheelies. She's got an a/m pipe and who knows what else mods...

My '76 CB750 isn't all that fond up wheelies...

stick with the wr. no valve issues and will last forever compared to the honda or ktm

not true,you would need the mso to get a florida title.mso says "offroad" therefore you could not get a fla. street title.

Credit card debt is all gone thanks to my sign on bonus. I figure I could get 2000 to 2500 out of my 4-wheeler by parting it out.

I won't be buying a house for another year or two.

Only thing I have agains a KTM is parts cost, The local stealership doesn't even spit on it before they @zz rape you... Then again there is internet parts dealers.
