That one looks to just be a support
My Novi 48's had a billet fuel rail that replaced the area where the fuel pumps go and I had to run dual remote fuel pumps. I was told it acted as a support, replaced the fuel fittings for a cleaner and less complicated assembly and also acted as an air/fuel seperator although I still had to add a primary air/fuel seperator so... :dunno:

I think it would help to keep the carbs sync'd when removed for jetting changes. Of course on the setup above you would have to remove that bar to make any changes.

it makes a great handle when pulling a moter..... it just links them together and looks cool. i used to use mine as a handle, grab that and the mani and out she comes.
