What else should I do when my ski is all torn apart?

Those damn holds of yours are like bear traps. once they got you it is a bitch to get out!

These are the blowsion footholds? I might need to get me some of those things if these on my new hull aren't any good! I've been injured more F-ing times coming out of the footholds in mid air than everything else combined.

Now you're talking. If you do want to do it, you could do all the ski work slowly during the evenings. It's not like you need daylight to do any of it. You might could talk me into helping if you can help get my permission slip signed.....

Screw it - let's do it! I want to backflip this hull on the lake this year. Got me some brap coming, so I need trim and shortness. I may just take you up on the offer of help when I get to the parts that would go more quickly with a couple of pairs of hands. You think I can bribe Emm with the offer of dinner and cocktails in the hot tub? She and Suzi can complain about how obsessed we are with skis while we are in the garage obsessing with skis....

OK: just ordered some REV footholds with enclosures, so I guess this is going to happen. Got a Raider trim ring, lever and cable coming too for the CATS. Better get to work on figuring out what cloth I need for reinforcing....

I'm sure that will work. Sounds like an offer she couldn't refuse.
I know you don't want to, but I still think you should run with no foam. Parr did it not too long ago and shed a bunch of weight. Talk to him about it... All the cool kids are doing it.

Parr did it because he ran out!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL!

Actually, that's what kept me awake last night. I'm definitely thinking of going without foam. I figured I'd reinforce internally all the way back through the gunwales, and add a bunch of strength to the tray with something like Coremat (last item on this page: http://www.uscomposites.com/specialty.html). I have to get inside the gunwales anyway to repair cracks, so I may as well bite the bullet and reinforce both sides.

Well, it's all torn apart now. Ski is completely stripped - just got to get the turf off then I can start cutting. Holy ^%$&^% that turf is stuck well - I guess I did a good job!

OK:

Tear ski completely apart: check.

Spend ages picking at stickers before you remember the heat gun: check.

Nuke ribs ready to reinforce: check.

Bare hull weighs in at 114lbs, which I think is a little high, so I expect to find dome wet foam.
