What engine is this?

What engine is this and how do i tell if it is really a 701?
if it is a 701 is it a 61X 62T?

I bought a pair of skis ata great deal even if this is a stock rebuilt 650 but this 93 is suppose to have a 701 dropped in it.

Are there numbers on the block/someplace that will confirm this?

Thanks... My 2003 obviously says 62T
the 93 that was in questions says 6m6 on the case
thats is a 650 case right?

Maybe it has the 61X cylinders??

61x cylinders have a 61X cast into them somewhere. i think its on the exhaust side near the top. i cant remember.

I found the 6m6 down low below the exhaust down by where I think the stator is.

(i could not find it anywhere on the intake side.)

Stock 61X cylinders with a 61x case says 63HP.

hmm... MY 2003 has 62T on the case and 61X on the Cyl.

They may use the same bottom half but they are not marked all the same.

( I can try to take pics if you want me to?)

you have to have the engine upside down to see the stamping on the bottom case - they all say 6m6

isn't the polished aluminum cover the stator cover?

the stampings on your yellow motor go like this
cylinder 61x
case top half 6m6
case bottom half 6m6



on your round nose motor:
cylinder 61x
case top half 62t
case bottom half 6m6
