Super Jet What Footholds?

I have a 2008 superjet, I dont want to remove the rubber caps on the tray (feels like a comb type of material inside). The tray looks really clean the way it is, but I need to hold my feet well. Im thinking some foam padding for comfort and then some footholds that will fit without removing the rubber rail caps. Im also thinking of a foot strap in the front for surf stance. What do you all recommend? I am shoe size 10, but wear booties when I ride.

Im also thinking of keeping the original yamaha turf. Diamond cut kills my knees. That would be the "flat turf" from hydroturf correct?

You're gonna lose the turf. Don't worry, 25mm underpad will help your knees. You can pretty much chose your footholds and still keep the stock rail caps (they are a biotch to get off)
You've got to remove them to properly install footholds.
The stock turf sux anyway.

If you wanna keep the stock look...some pics:

In early 2008 I put in footholds and got rid of the stock rail caps. One of the best mods I've done.

I redid my tray again a couple weeks ago and it's much better now. Just be prepared to do some fiberglass work.

You know Kevin bruins made some sweet holds for $70 by far my favorite. They were easy to install. Im sure if you call eli at pwc technology he will make you some. They work with the turf kit you get from Hydroturf or wamiltons. They are bigger than cyclones and a bit longer. I wear size 10 shoes and she feel really nice. 616-403-9196

ditch the rail caps.

If you need anyone to do fiberglass work let me know. I do it for most of the guys we ride with.

I can do fiberglass work, im set up in my garage with everything you'd possibly need. Thanks though.

Im just unsure where I want to go with this tray. I have about 20 min tray time in this ski and kinda nervous about setting it up the footholds only to find they're really uncomfortable. I even been checking out the bob adjustable footholds and run a strap in the front. A little pricey, but they seem worth it.

just stuff a set of footholds in it and you will get used to them.

I can jump on any ski now and roll it with any kind of foothold. No matter what you put in, you'll get used to them after a few rides.
