What Happened to Joe Kenny and his Blue Bomber

Hello,

I wanted to know if anyone knew how Joe Kenny is doing and where is that awesome blue bomber of his?

I haven't heard or seen anything from him in a while and I wanted to reach out and see if anyone can shed light on him.

Thanks for the update. Man I remember when I was growing up. He was the man when it came to fresstyle stand up. I want to buy his Blue bomber and put it in my shop. Any idea where that ski may be?

Blowsion sold it back in 2006. Your best bet would be to email Scott (sales@blowsion.com) and ask if he happens to know where it is. It might have ended up overseas (possibly Dubai) and could be difficult to get back. A lot of old Blowsion builds ended up in the UAE when the economy was flat here and good there.

Memories...

For me that ski brings back a ton of memories. I've seen others similar to it but to have the original one. Dang I would pay to own it. I'll shoot Scott an email and find out if he could give me some ideas on where it's at.

I believe that a couple (of ex-JK) 'ski's live (or lived) in Australia. Saw them advertised locally years ago. Haven't seen anything in the recent past.

Be aware that their appearance may have been altered and they're around in plain view. Many years ago a mate and I picked up a factory 440 race 'ski in full PJS or WestCoast livery. Said mate decided to treat it to a custom paint job as there were a few rough patches and some aging (I think they call it 'patina' in classic car circles).

I was horrified as I felt he was destroying a piece of history. Still, his 'ski and it was his choice. He never could keep it running reliably for any length of time and it now has pride of place in the man cave as a static display.

Yep.
One got destroyed by a Kid in Victoria a few years ago.
I told him he had a bit of Jetski history but he cut and shut it, painted it orange then tried to sell it for a year or more...
Went up to NSW but not recognisable as a JK ski now.
Sad to see ...
