Hey guys,

I actually see no issue with running this hull at all. I understand the company went out of business - but to be honest I'm not totally sure why. When searching all I find on RCW is a couple of large/deep threads but nothing stating anything about the company's demise...

I really like the look and style of this Havoc and cant wait to try it out...

But - what happened? What can I be on the 'lookout' for or what should I repair/re-inforce over this winter?

They’re one of the best looking hulls out there IMO. As far as I know, they sold off all their molds and just shut down. Don’t know why but yah. Now twangled has the havoc, brawler, etc.

With that being said, want to buy another one?

BK, said it right. They got burnt out with long hours from a hobby that turned into a lifestyle. There was also a lot of drama behind the scenes that people still haven’t made public as well. Brian always pulled the “poor me” card when he was the one that couldn’t meet deadlines and promises to his customers. They ruined a lot of “sponsored” riders riding seasons and have burned a lot of people in general.
The brawler was a terrible riding hull. They tried fixing that with the Havoc which is still a terrible riding hull. Brian even said that to me during a phone call. They knew if they wanted to compete with other hulls that the Havoc needed redesigned but by that time they decided to sell the molds instead of making a new design.. That’s the short version of the story.
Brian is a thief and a liar. I hope for the sake of everyone else, they stay away from this awesome sport forever.

THATS what happened to RCW...

Damn Smitty, dont sugarcoat it or anything lol. :D

I actually thought the Havoc was a fantastic riding ski. It might not be the best for freestyle competition, but it was super fun to ride everytime I got on one.

There is a few brawlers and 1 havoc in canada as well. RCW bought the original brawler mold from a guy in Thailand i believe who built it in his back yard. There is a thread somewhere about it. It was basically a shortened and widened superjet bottom deck with a sxr top deck modded to fit.

lol thats funny speaking of havocs wheres @Lumpy at?
You just couldn’t resist, huh? Lol

There’s only one way to be and that’s to be truthful. Well, sometimes the truth hurts.

Sadly I have to agree with @SmittySX, the Havoc hull didn't ride that well. Just my opinion, I was still developing to being able to do bigger tricks. I rode the green and orange boat, and even the yellow boat pictured above. The yellow one rode the best out of all that I had the chance to test and I believe I was told the bottom was -2" shorter than their other hulls. I always test how a ski turns when hooked to the water and how it spins out of the water, and this hull didn't do aireal spins very well for me. Definitely not as well as other hulls I tested (DVX, Rickter XFS, KDX) which seemed effortless. Still a capable hull, but not as capable as others which is why I didn't purchase one. I happened to like talking with Josh and Byran but heard of a lot of drama after the fact which I am sure lead to low customer turnout. For a competition hull I did not see this as one to use, however for a recreational hull I think its quite good and a nice looking hull. Stays hooked in the water well at faster speeds and sharp turns from what I remember, and capable of flipping like all other hulls out there. Just with any hulls to be on the lookout for is not flat landing or hard landings causing the motor to hit the engine bay or crack the bottom, and don't abuse the ski. Keith takes good care of his equipment (original owner of yellow havoc) so just make sure to do the same. If you do happen to notice anything cracking or starting to, reinforce it when it is small. But I haven't heard anything of these hulls having composite issues or coming apart like some of the other hulls of that time period.
