Speaking of Bell Helmets, If you don't want to drop a lot of coin, and happen to have a smaller head, Walmart sells a Bell full face bike helmet for $50. Best of all, since its made by Bell, the quality is pretty good. I've had a Bell Bellistic before and the padding is much thicker on this one. Unfortunately its only available in one size. Next time you're at Walmart check it at the bike section

I use an my thor MX1 old moto helmet, works pretty good, doesnt waterlog, the padfing absords some but not much, and its nice all the padding clicks out and u can wash and dry it easy. The old air vents up top drain most water and it has comfortable fit, its a $300 helmet that i got for $50 new because it was one model year older. Go into a moto shop, and get a clearance thor or fox helmet, get one thats lighter and feels not as strong for dirt will be perfect strength and durability for ski. or dirt rider magazine has those cheap helmets for quads for $30 there not too bad. But id go with old moto best bang for the buck

Moto helmets are too heavy and the thick padding absorbs to much water. Plus there's no holes so they don't drain foods. Downhill mtn bike/bmx helmets are the best

Giro Remedy is a good inexpensive helmet. From there its just a matter of how good you want it to look, how light you want it to be, and most importantly how much you want to spend.

I use a 661 CF Helmet I found on sale.

Shred is about the lightest helmet I have owned, even soaking wet. It basically doesn't absorb water because it has minimal padding. I like it personally, but if you are banging your head off your ski regularly you may want to try a helmet with more padding.

Tried my new Shred Ready yesterday and it was a real nice. The helmet is sooo light and feels like nothing is on.
