What hull?

In the process of deciding what's next for me... Been riding a WDK RIP for years and I love it, but it's time for something new. Truthfully, I prefer cruising around and doing nose stabs, chasing boats and hitting flips off boat wakes. I'm not concerned about flatwater flips but I DO want to make sure I have something capable of flipping off of a nice wakesurf boat. I could care less about extended WOT runs. Unfortunately I don't think rickters are in my price range.

Would it be possible to throw trim on a superjet, my 898 and flip off of a boat wake? Or are we talking new hull territory. Because I love superjets but I love the thrill of sending a flip off of a boat wake(way better than flatwater!!)
Most likely would need to sell my 898 to fund a different hull so a 781 would most likely be my engine of choice for the ski.

Pole ski or fixed steer? Those inverse hulls look promising, I’m a big fan of the air blair fixed steers, but there are many options. Have any access to different skis by you to try out first?

Just researched the inverse hull. That thing sounds like it could be perfect. Unsure what's around me. Was going to post here, see what skis people recommend, then reach out on Facebook to see if any locals have either of them

Wave Rave is in a month. Ride the ferry over. Both schicks and blair should be there.

Edit: August 11-13

Have you considered the matrix yamanube has forsale?
I was just going to post this, could definitely fit in the parameters you are looking for.

Sounds like a Superfreak badass to me.

It’s mostly ad hoc… it’s less of an organized event and more of a big hang out. I’m very likely to go just for the day on saturday, and go right through muskegon if you Want to check into lake express care ferry times. Ludington is only like half an hour further north and the SS Badger ferry lands there.

Is Ludington where the ride is?

No, the event is at Claybanks Township Park, from which it’s maybe 30-45 mins to the ludington ferry.

From what I can tell all the campsites are already reserved, but it’s a pretty big place and if you had something like a tent, I’m sure someone would let you squat on the corner of their site or something. If I were to stay, that’s exactly what I would do. But if you just wanted to go for the day, the only challenge is arranging transport from whatever ferry to the campground. Like I said, I’m driving right through Muskegon to go there, which is where the lake Xpress car ferry lands. The badger arrives further north.

Edit: implied but not stated is that you’d come on foot, just to check out others skis.

I’m actually pretty flexible… could go saturday only and pick you up on the way (Muskegon), or I could go friday and drive to Ludington to pick you up Saturday AM or Friday eve. Getting back to the ferry is also likely not a big deal, depending on the time.

We can switch to PMs to figure it out.
