What improvements/changes would you make to the “New” Super Jet

OK, lets say the decision makers at Yamaha are going to read this thread. What improvements/changes would you like to see Yamaha incorporate into a new production Super Jet? Or what weaknesses would you like to see changed? Keep in mind that Yamaha has to put out a basic ski package that’s universal enough to fulfill the needs for all there stand up customers weather they be Racers, Flat Water Free Stylers or Surf Riders. In other words, it’s not realistic to ask Yamaha to make “The new” SJ to be Race only or Flat Water Free Style only. I’ve been tossing a few ideas around in my head so I’ll start:

1. I would like to see Yamaha put a raised lip around the interior of the engine compartment similar to the SXR, so that the hood can not shift from side to side.

2. The foam in the rear of the ski should be the same type as in the nose or pole interior foam, or some type of foam that does not absorb water and cannot waterlog.

3. Re-route the through hull exhaust below the bond line from the rear all the way to the engine compartment before it angles up as a water stop. (The water stop should be within the engine compartment).

4. Add “bar style” foot holds (On both sides) which run the full length of the tray.

5. Widen the interior tray width.

6. A minimum of a 800cc (or even a 1000cc) power valve motor. Every body loves stupid power!

If you have any more changes that you think Yamaha could add to the Super Jet to make it a better Ski then add them to the list. If you don’t agree with any of my suggestions then state which one and why and how you’d improve it.

Put all the nav lights you want on your ski, you still can't ride them at night in the states.

If they read this forum they know they have the market nailed. Superjets must outnumber all other models by a 8-1 margin.

BUT, I would like to see dual 44's on the new models.

better ergonomics. 4*bars, short turn plate with quicksteer, quicksteer nozzle, lock on grips, throttle lever, better turf with underpad.
more power. bump compression to 170-180psi range, come with a decent exaust system(like b pipe)

nobody has mentioned anthing about a ride plate or an intake grate??

yes the other stuff is cool...but these are like the most inexpensive/first mods you to a standup when you get them...am i right or wrong?

i haven't seen the 08 yet, but i assumed it was the same as the other years. how about something a little better than that junky piece of plasic they bolt onto the bottom which the call a "grate" lol

couldn't agree more...we were just talking about this the other night. now, i'm new to composites, but can you buy that type of foam (styrofoam?) from like a us composites or do they only sell like the sheets that you would find at a home depot? i need to chop up my tray soon and i was wondering if that was possible.
