Im wondering what your guys thoughts are on what brand intake manifold is best for the 62T? I havent looked into this area much and I really dont have a clue. Are they all pretty much the same? I'm thinking of using the Boyesen rad valves with it on a 5mm stroked 760 BB 61x. Thoughts?:thinkerg:

The Boysean (SP!) manifold is a great one, you mount the carbs to a plate and then the plate mounts to the manifold. You can remove the carbs in about 2 minutes.

I believe that's an R&D Dominator manifold, not Boyesen.
They make the appropriate RAD valves for it.

Here's the Boyesen one.

So what's the difference between the Dominator and the Boyesen?

Almost nothing. The Boyesen casting is a bit nicer and it uses orings between the plate and manifold. If you're gonna get the complete maifold/reed setup, I believe the Dominator/M-16(with replacement petals) is better than the Boyesen manifiold/reed combo. Just my opinion.

I just run the manifold with OEM Cages. Both are good as far as the manifold goes.

I think R&D is only making the Dominator from now on.

Note that there are two different versions of the dominator out there also.

One has significantly bigger runner volume (cross section) set up specifically for the M-16 reeds. The other more common one is for OEM and V-Force reeds. On motors approaching 1000cc, I believe that this makes a difference in flow.

Note the pictures below of the two versions of the R&D intake (the carb plates are not pictured).
