What is a good price on a Clean 94 550SX

I found an clean all stock 1994 550sx. What is a good price on a nice 550sx? I don't want to overpay, and I'm having trouble finding comparable skis on craigs and ebay.

I have sold really clean ones here in Arizona ranging from $ 1000.00 to $ 1500.00 - beginning of the season will draw higher dollars and Arizona is a booming stand up jet ski state right now, the sport is back, hard to find decent skis.

The 550sx guys on facebook say $1000-$1500. They are nuts about 550sx's.

if its mint all original then for your area its worth $800-1200

$1500 if its flawless or heavily modded

I sold a mint 1992 550sx to my buddy for $850 that was only used 1 season and showed next to Zero signs of ever being used

I work with a guy who thinks the 550sx was the greatest ski ever made and somehow thinks freestyle skis are homo because they are quote, "too stable to have fun on". He's never even ridden a superjet let alone an AM hull. blows my mind.

Not to take away from buying a 550. I would buy a clean one as an extra ski. OP, don't think I'm bashing you for buying it. I just don't regard them as the gold standard of skis that some 'purists' do lol. Smitty's comment just reminded me of the cult following those skis sometimes have.

In bone stock configuration the 550sx is one of the best skis ever built... I'd take a 550 sx over a 650 SN

800 is a good price, in my opinion.

I ended up passing on the ski. It was definitely worth $800, but the hulls condition was a little rough. After passing on the 550 I bought a sxr 800 for 3k. I really didn't like it and ended up selling it for 3k a couple months ago.

Aha. Probably a good call if the hull was rough.

Curious why you didn't like the sxr? I have never ridden one.

Are you in the market for anything else after the sxr?

I currently have a SN with a 701, a stock 550, and I just picked up a 750sx. The SXR was just too big. It reminded me of a friends SeaDoo 3D.
