Freestyle What is everyone using for a starter solenoid with total loss?

I have been using some I got off ebay and I am tired of them crapping out on me. Is the amperage for a high compression engine to be started just too much for a lawn mower solenoid? This last one fried first time out and wouldnt disengage my starter. Could have destroyed my bendix and or expensive flywheel but luckily didn't. Im sick of it though.

Somebody point me to some good solenoids......please?

You cant beat the Kawi one, and you can get an old small box out of the 80s skis to hold it.

If you need one I can wire it up for ya in a box

I think I am about to try one but they are hard to mount securely ith the weird rubber tab mounts they come with.

Take a pic of where you have it mounted. Trust me the kawi is the best bet. If you are mounting to a flat plate you can use a clamp with the rubber to clamp around the body.

For the price of those MSD ones they better be bullet proof. They look like the aftermarket ones. My bet is on anything oem whether its Yamaha, Seadoo or Kawi.
