X2. This helmet is bad ass. Everyone that tries mine out comes back saying damn, I'm having one of those. Barely even feel it, really good vision, etc. I love it. Haven't had issues with rust yet, just looked and rivets are golden. Then again it's mostly fresh water use, been in salt a handful of times.

Out of curiosity, why has no one mentioned using a hockey helmet with full face guard?http://www.hockeydogs.com/ProductImages/helmets/NB%208500C.jpg

They're cheaper than lacrosse helmets, lightweight, and they don't hold any water. Just a thought. I think I'm still going to go BMX style.

Maybe no one thinks of hockey around the oceans.

legdrag pete wears one. I liked the look of the lacrosse better. They also have a whitewater helmet based on the same shell so I knew it should work out ok.

I rode with a hockey helmet before i bought my lacrosse. I always felt the need for something to protect my face and that BMX/MX helmets were just too big and bulky.

The lacrosse helmets are perfect except for the chin strap. Even though it is probably safest, I feel when riding with the chin strap I am out of breath more (I am out of shape). I am going to rig a strap like skateboard helmets (under your chin).
