Any tried the new h2o designs I can appreciate the block off cap for a piece of mind and or failing rubber.
@McDog remember the old scupper you built with a pvc cap?!

Seems like a very nice feature. I could see people using the scupper on flatwater and then using the threaded plug in when riding surf....

I wish their site had better photos of the product. Maybe a few of the backside and info about what size pipe it works with.

Love the screw on caps! But since this is not gonna be a surf ski,no need. Definitely would be great on my old glass SF surf boat! When time to take down and rebuild I'll use it @McDog

Just sealed up the last of my leaks in my project hull only to find that blowsion 1 way valve style flap scupper is leaking on the inner side of the valve. Probably the hose clamp from scupper tube to valve is loose.

I want to switch to the h2o designs flapper u guys linked. But getting this 1 way out is gona be a pain... square peg round hole problems i think.

Best and Worst flap style scuppers are now covered in this thread :p jk

I had heard there were rusting problems in saltwater. No firsthand experience.

Your info is correct. The surface of the tiny metal disc in the flap door can rust a little. I lightly scrape and sand it off when replacing the rubber flap.
