Trade it in for a Superjet.... dont try to make it what its not. Start with an SJ and you will be leaps and bounds better off.

Fugg superjets.....short lightweight hull....then learn how to ride....then add power when its holding you back from newer/bigger tricks.

I went with a used eme q8 hull. Ive had a smile on my face since.

thank yall for the advice i think i am going to go with a short lightweight hull and go from there i have a long ski and i dont want another

How long have your been riding? A short hull is not going to teach you the fundamentals of riding. Honestly, Sell the SXR. Pick up a good modded SJ (Stock Motor with Porting, Pipe, Enhancer, Head, Prop, Footholds) and learn how to ride. Learn how to do subs, bronco's, Nose Stabs, Inverted Nose Stabs, Barrell Rolls.............. Then after you have mastered those, then think about a LW Hull. One thing with most of these hulls is you are going to give up handling for a ski that will do 3 tricks. A Barrell Roll if you know how, A Back Flip if you can and a Flair/Underflip if you dare try.........

There have been several fairly new riders here recently that bought an aftermarket hull only to shortly after put it up for sale because they could not ride it. Don't be that guy.

You should be more specific when you talk about that guy because this That Guy rides his A/M hull and loves it. :silly: I cant agree more you should be riding for years so if you do want to go A/M then you can at least make a educated decision. You don't have to be the best rider just at least have formed a opinion on what you want to get out of a A/M hull. Not just i want to be better so buy a magic voodoo hull and your riding twice overhead and killing it. Sorry doesn't work like that but I would love to watch you try...

I agree with both points and I dont think one is right over the other....I think for me the key statement is "personal preference". It comes down to whether or not your would want to spend x amount of dollars on motor mods, pipes, pumps...etc or buying a superjet or buying a hull. For me, I had a chance to ride a superfreak with a stock 701 in it and couldn't believe the difference a lw hull makes so I had to have one. Now I have an EME Q8 with a stock SXR motor in it and couldnt be happier.

What I should have said in my above post was that your should really go out and try as many different things as you can (providing you have the resources available to you). That way you can try to replicate what felt best for you.
