What is the quietest lay down pipe waterbox?

I just tried out a TNT pipe and box for the first time. The box is so huge I figured it would probably be relatively quiet but it's pretty loud, this ski I'd like to keep reasonably quiet, is there some other box that would be worth trying?

JetManiac waterbox would be a good contender. More water would quiet things down and the JM is tapped with a bung to inject water straight to the box

Storbeck, can you add a bung to your box ? Can’t remember if they have one already or not.

I just took my fc valve and restricter out on my RRP box and gave it full water, it took some of the edge off the noise and made it a less noisy

My TNT box does not have a bung but I can certainly add one.

I'll probably do some playing around with adding water at various points, but I was hoping to just start off with a quiet box if such a thing exists.

For a laydown pipe you basically have three boxes that most people are running: TNT, RRP, PFP and then a few extras like Xscream and Jetmaniac and who knows what else.

I have a PFP box on hand that I can try, but was hoping there was somebody out there that was familiar with a few of them and could comment if there is anything that stands out as noticeably quieter. I know most people don't really care, but it's something that might get noticed if you have two side by side.

In my hazy memory I actually recall the pfp box being quieter (on a different motor, with a different pipe, for what that's worth), but usually bigger is quieter so I dunno. the smaller box sure is convieneint for fit purposes, so there is that.

I should clarify I have water going to the stinger, just don't have a bung directly into the box.

The RRP box/pipe is setup with no water in the stinger and a water line directly into the box, right?

Yes......but I’d add a bung fir a noise concern no problem..

The maniac box is quieter then Rrp and the LS7 is quieter than Pf

Seems like it would. Water in the box (rather than in the stinger) seems like it would have less effect, but I'm not sure.

My box is already fully encased in turf.

No, I was saying Keep the water at the stinger as is...

Just add water to box via an additional water line.. to squash some of the noise..

I’ll ad a bung to my LS 7 box to run with RRP pipe which runs an injected water box normally.. I want to try this scupper box combo for a surf application....

I run a down turn on my exhaust outlet out the back to redirect noise down ward at times and also run a scupper type flap over the outlet in surf

I understand what you mean, I was responding to Stefan's comment that more water would kill bottom end. It seems like water in the box would have less affect on the tuning than water at the stinger, so like you said leave the stinger water alone, then for noise add water directly in the box to (hopefully) have the most affect on noise with the least affect on tuning.

Hopefully.

I kinda suspect all of this won't do much, but worth a try.

Still makes sense to start with the quietest box if possible.

Anybody else?
