What is this bedplate from?

Just swapped bedplates due to a busted coupler cover mount and noticed this extra tab. Anyone know what these are from or what its for?

Pretty sure that bolts to the inner spots adjacent the crank bearings?

Believe those came only in the later hulls like GP 760 and XL700/760. Not sure what loop is for though.

I have the last year of the GP760 = a 2000 - definitely a rubber block & definitely no hoop on the side of either bedplate.
Don’t think I’ve seen, or noticed, a hoop in a bed plate before, huh

That was an added option from Yamaha that you could add if you ordered your ski. It was sold as a 10 hp gain from the "loop capacitor".

Ya, correct. That uses those 4 funky longer case bolts. I dont know wtf that loop is for, but Im having deja vu of seeing it sometime in the past...lol
