300/440/550 what is this waterbox.....whats it too???

take the water box out completly if you want it loud. On a 650 run the hose off the exhaust strait to the exhaust fitting in the hull. Probably sound like crud, but hey it will be loud.

I hear ya man.. I was only suggesting a fag idea to him. It doesnt matter how loud your ski is.. just how much power it puts out and how well it handles.

Just because there's no Db restriction doesn't mean you not pissing people off when your out there being "loud and annoying".

You ever notice on Harleys that no one ever says anything bad about the units with stock exhaust but when with pipes so loud it sounds like thunder rolls by everyone gives him that look like wtf is up with that? Its pretty much the same with skis.

True about ski exhausts,,,,little "throaty" not so bad but butt ass loud on the water just resonates across the pond doing much harm to the sport..
If you have a twin turbo cat powered whatever you have the means to make much noise and get away with it,,,if you have a ski that sounds like a chainsaw,,,forget it..You need to save your dough and buy an off shore, all the booze and women,,,look like you own it.....Then you get to make all the noise you like...It sux, but life is like that....

I think a little opposite of that but guess where I come from. If I hear a stock Harley ride by, I will hardly take notice. I can see how some people dont like the loud pipes but Im so used to it. I ride a Deuce with aftermarket pipes and its not all that bad. Def. use it to get other peoples attention and make sure they notice a bike is around.


I would never make my jetski louder though. I dont want to attract any cops attention on the water. Even if it is legal, a cop might not think so.

They are loud and resonate all over the lake.. then other skis can have the same db rating, but sound a ton better.. it all has to do with the tone. The more annoying the tone.. the more people on the shore get pissed off.. which means they dont want you to ride there. They will do almost anything to get you in trouble with the law.. If you keep it quiet and dont piss of the shore people then you have a win win situation.

I guess this wouldnt be the best time to say that my ski is the most annoying sounding one at the lake??:biggrin: :biggrin: J/K it is just right.. not to loud, yet definantly not a stock sound.. never had any complaints and get waves from the locals, so I must not be doing to bad.
