Is that on your 550sx? Your shouldn't have anything on there besides the coupler lol. I would for sure remove that.

that looks like the bearing section of the driveshaft holder bearing.
the rubber separated from the plate that bolts to the bulkhead and the bearing slid forward.
the second you drop that ski in water, water should come pouring into the engine compartment.
that is the same part that comes on all 650 750 800 900 1100 standup and sitdown kawi skis, so they are everywhere.

Almost looks like an aftermarket bearing housing from back in the day. Have any other pics? Maybe one of the bulkhead?
