what mods are NEEDED for freeride 66e?

i'm thinking the kawi manifold would be easier to work with an adapter plate because it uses 3 bolts a cylinder to mount, eliminating the bolt pattern overlap you've prolly seen. the b-pipe head pipe will bolt to it. it would easily clear the 1300r non pv cylinders.

I think I've got a good solution for the overlap. I'm going to lower the b pipe manifold. the exhaust ports point down so I may as well lower teh manifold and blend the transition down and inward at the same time.

plus I've already got a yami manifold.

Peanut gallery speaks, I hear, only turd-motors by idiots blow-up
Don't have specs off-hand but kawi is about 42dia compared to 50dia of 66e

Hope WaveDemon doesnt mind if i ask this 66E question here:
What is the max you can safely bore and nikasil the stock cylinders and also can the stock head be recut/remachined to accomodate it?

From reading other threads the recommeded max is 87mm but there are posts of 90mm. My question is how much vibration do you get with such big pistons. My 80.5mm vibrates like an out of balance washing machine and I have the rods lightened and the crank balanced.

wouldnt the spacer plate to adapt the b pipe put the pipe outside the hull?

i would thik it would on a 701 base not sure on a 66e

Stock 66E with wdk manifold with a dry-pipe will give sbout 158hp at 6750rpm on stock porting.
If you machine the cylinder base 1mm the power stays about same but moves down to 6300rpm.

I see the postings of HP but who, where and on what type of dyno are these numbers being derived. Not trying to bust on anyone but I'm getting sick of HP posts from guys who have never dyno'ed an engine. HP is a mathamatical derivative of torque or work done at a given rpm. The more work done in a given time the more hp until the volmetric efficientcy drops of i.e. Hp happens at higher rpm and peak torque happen in the lower band. Race engines make the most HP and I do know numbers for some of the factory efforts. I find it hard to belive that a stock 66e with single pipe makes almost as much as my ported twin pipe. If I'm wrong please post specific info so I can drop a single into my blaster.
