Nitrous on a 701 looks pretty killer!

I personally have no idea but that is what I would want.

Hey Paul. There are many factors for this. Hull, your weight, Hull Weight, motor setup... There are some that have done them on stock hulls with Big Bore motors and some that have Wammer Hulls, with Lamey's that cannot do them. But basic setup is a Back flip specific hull (ie Lightweight) with the largest stroked engine you can come up with....

I rode 2 ski's yesterday that should be real dam close to capable w/the right pilot and some Thrust Innovations straight pull trim.

Is that a crack at my wieght lol

I can buy a bigger motor easier then I can loose wieght

Iv'e already got a stock stroke lamey that I should have originally done as a stroker and a cople of big bores.
I have seen a couple motors for sale lately and don't need to spend the coin unless they are capable of flipping

i had a go on the weekend with my mates xft surf boat with 62t 61x standard bore 44s and a tbm flywheel and i was landing upside down i reakon with some more practice the trim felt really weird i could get 3/4 but i have never ridden a big bore so i dont know if that difference would help

Not to hijack but I think a better would be...what's the smallest motor someone has been able to backflip with? You can hack up the back of the hull and rideplate but if the engine doesn't have enough umph to get you high enough than no amount of skill will get you there.

I wouldnt waste my time or $. Not only the cost to build a motor that is capable, but then having to deal with race gas, every so many hour rebuilds... blah blah blah.... Flatwater is for the rich, if you want to do a flip move closer to the ocean, it will be cheaper, and a hole lot more fun in the long run.

not shure what the smallest motor would be but a motor that revs fast and has lots of torque.its not all motor need a good pump that stays hooked up and a motor that hits the rev limiter before you leave your setup wake
