What motor do you need for backflip

I wouldnt waste my time or $. Not only the cost to build a motor that is capable, but then having to deal with race gas, every so many hour rebuilds... blah blah blah.... Flatwater is for the rich, if you want to do a flip move closer to the ocean, it will be cheaper, and a hole lot more fun in the long run.

not everybody can live by the beach.......

Yes has to be 4yrs now.
thinking 66e now but they to have thier down side

Looks like you got your moneys worth!!!!!!!!!!!

I am not sold on the 66e motors. Maybe with the WDK cylinders but not the stock cylinders. Porting is not the greatest...

May be better off just using your cylinder and getting it reconfigured for an 8mm stroke. I would give Paul a shout since he knows your setup or XScream........ Those would be my two choices.

Yea can't complain there no problems which has worked out well the last few years as I have had no time for wrenching. This year I will put the total loss back on.

First off sortened hull and light weight , second a solid lamey and best with a skat trak pump , proped right low grunt . Like gil said THRUST INNOVATIONs trim . last alot of talent and a ton of back flops . i watched rick roy and bunch of other very talented riders try them for hours and hours before getting them and i am talking hundred plus attempts and coaching and video . there is alot of toming involved with all the money spent to build the right boat . But the easist way is to build an EME you will cut your time in half or maybe less .

to much trim is a bad thing for the backy. I am running a raider endpeice with the pro-tec nozzle. Less trim = more height :wiggle: My hull is not shortened on the top deck but the bottom has a 6 or 7" sweep. If I had my 5 mil In my old stock length hull I still think I can do backys... i was almost nosing them in with that hull and a stock stroke engine.

w/o a 1000cc motor.
