Custom/Hybrid What motor / Pump are they using for jet surfboards ?

Well..... not sure what to put here since it's all in the title .

Also ..... Does anybody know what the best 2 stroke oil is ?

This is in the “jetsurf” brand. It’s a 90cc. It’s called the msr 50.2 hxr.

It looks like a propriety motor ..... A friend of mine is working on a project and was curious . He wants to build a small solo ultra lite weight rig to run rivers and fish. His idea was to build a fishing type paddle board and power it. Jet johns are to heavy to slide down muddy banks and drag around in trout waters. Cool idea , but what to power it with ? I suppose you could buy a jet surf board for 12K for the guts .....

Look into a liquid cooled paramotor engine, somewhat similar layout to the jetsurf but likely much easier to obtain and less expensive.

There are some cheaper surfboards on aliexpress both gas and electric your buddy might be able to source the parts from.

The surfango jet boards and kayaks used a water cooled Chinese knock off gy6 honda 150cc engine and proprietary drive. There was a member on here that talked about putting a 300sx motor in one. I attached pics of a stock surfango motor

I'm subb'ed because I want to know what motor and pump to use for a ski for a 2yr old. Seems like this might be a good place to obtain that info. Don't need as much power as these new board are laying down. Electric would be great.

Thanks guys . Good info here. The pump set up in the earlier post looks very pricey.... probably not a lot of aftermarket parts . I thought we were in a niche market !
