What pole to go with

So I have my ski all apart to get ready for daytona & I found some stress cracks in my dales pole at the base and the pivot bolt plate is streched. He said he will fix it, but I think its time to upgrade.

Its my 07 sxr with group k big bore and some other stuff...... so the question is,,,,,

RRP or X Metal ?????

I don't want to buy another pole, but I am hard on my toys and i understand hard riding = broken parts. What pole would you guys recommend?????

Well there are some post's from member's that went through total hell waiting on there X-metal poles multiple times so I would say RRP Daytona is coming up quick!

I havent gotten through to x as they were closed when I called today. Tim at TBM is ready to hook me up with an RRP with everything including bearing steering & sj pad, pole, steering stop, bushings and bar clamps for about 1300 delivered. about 100 more for the RRP pad. I will prob go with the RRP but would like some input to see what people think of their poles

RRP is 2 pipes. looks 100% trash to me. Apparently they function quite nicely, however, so does the X Metals pole.

its not a question if you ask me

I'd recommend an adjustable X-metal pole. They look great on the SXR's. For $1300 you should be able to get a pole, steering, bushings, bars, throttle, chinpad, grips, and still have a bunch left over for some other goodies.

I'd go with the RRP. I have 1 with the TBM steering on my stock sxr and really like.
The TBM steering is great too.

The only problem with yours is the fact that it is limp and left. LMAO

(not that I have ANY room to talk-mine is in my wife's purse)

X Scream has some poles either ready to go or almost. They were at the powder coater last I checked. I am not at all worried about having mine in time for Daytona. They're doing some other work for me right now so I've kept in touch.

The RRP looks pretty decent, but they are kinda $$$ and they are LOUD out on the water. You can hear the pole creak OVER a loud exhaust.

i know three people with them including myself..never heard it creak..maybe they dont have the bolts holding the tubes to the cast pieces tight enough or something

Some guys I ride with have them.
One of them is incredibly loud.(creaking)
The other not very loud at all.
I think the louder one is tightened A LOT more than the other.
Both look good (one rev / one 08 SJ)

I love my RRP's and got a good deal on both of them. Call Brian at Thrust Innovations for the best price around for all the components.

Neither of my poles creak, but I run them with a spring at neutral weight.

As far as pole pads go, I think Wamiltons has the best RRP pad available. Not the best pics but you get the idea.
