What prop to run.

My buddy runs the 08 prop in his limited superjet with a solas mag. I like the setup for a surf boat and think i just seen one for 50 beans on here.

I prefer the the 9/15 though. Prop pitches usually change from limited setups to big bores. Good luck.

I have a 14-18 in my ski at the moment (Evo 1 - 701 with pipe and head) and works great. John @Loki customs recommends this pitch for that set up.
I am just about to drop a fully ported 760 into my boat so now i'm thinking of props to, this engine rips i've heard but will see after it's fitted.

true,it wont work in a solas with out a custom spacer either, most skats are cut back 3 to 5 in the used market and will work in the solas mag as is...go with what ever is cheaper\
hooker around here means add 100 bucks to what ever other used prop price you can think of

Never seen a skat 9/15 on a gauge,id guess it would be same root and bent much flatter than a hooker 9/15. The hooker 9/15 is the same prop without a bit of the leading edge blade for smaller stockish motors
The 9/15 and 10/16 both have that leading edge style, the 11/17 and 12/18 hooker have the same leading edge shape as the skat, for a motor with decent power, these days thats what most are using anyway. whats your findings on both those props?

^^^ I don't think he will ever tell you. Sometimes god keeps his secrets and lets us find out for ourselves.

It would be interesting to see an impeller comparison thread. Put everything on a gauge, measure the hub, measure the length of the nose, ect. I bet many of them would be closer to each other than you would think.

secrets and jetsking is a oxymoron in itself,I agree a good comparison thread for props all measured in the same type gauge would be cool to see. props for our given purpose are very similar. sometimes different for the purpose of having to be different imho...

On the gauge they are very close. The main difference is the overlap on the leading edge.

Just for reference, here is a Hooker 12/18 that has the leading edge cut like the 9/15 and 10/16.
