300/440/550 What ride plate is best for me?

I am trying to figure out what ride plate to get for my 1990 550sx. I currently have a extended ride plate that came with the ski and I dont like it. Everytime I go to jump a wave the ski wants to just go through it and it handles really bad on choppy water. I heard that extended is more for flat water and for racing. I will be riding on lake st.clair so it is always choppy, and I want something that will keep the nose up more for better jumps off of wake and will handle better in choppier water. Any suggetions??

I run a top loader intake and a tr racing extended skegged ride plate. No problems with the ski cavitating on me. I usually jump wakes with my friends and have no problem with it plowing through the wave

Ocean Pro Race Plate was the best one I found.

+1 for the OP finned plate, carves much tighter and seems to have no issues with jumping up instead of through. Nite and day difference in handling between that and the flat/smooth models from Westcoast and PJS I also tried
