what set up would be louder?

From Personal experience on my superjet, I took out the waterbox and ran just rear exhaust. Alittle raspy but quiter than people with aftermarket waterboxes and side exhaust. I noticed a HUGE difference, no power loss, quicker throttle response, and the weight lost in the nose was rediculous. BUT the only reason I did that was to assists with backflips, trying to get weight out of the nose was key. So if your not planning on anything like that just leave it stock.

*You do have to watch out for water to make its way back up into your motor though*

I think that only applys to bikes.

Ross has a ski w/o a waterbox, It sounds cool at first but it can be a little annoying. If he rode on a lake I think he would get stopped, but for the ocean its fine. (where we ride there is no one on the beach to hear us anyway)
I recently went to front exhaist on my Blaster, tho I like the bennifits in the surf, it is a bit louder.
I don't think changing waterboxes will yield much HP bennefit.

i want to take some pounds off the front of the ski! so i may run no water box an keep the rear exhuast!

was thinking of adding a water line to the exhuast tube towards the back of the hull to cut a lil noise?

I only used mine for freestyle, like I did 0 riding around...I would literally sit and wait for cruisers.....I don't care what people say on my lake (lake lanier) because there is hundreds of stupid a$$ boats with straight pipes that don't get hassled, ever. Pisses me off

I think if your the type of rider who has to rely on a loud pipe to keep from crashing than you shouldn't be on the water .

Head on a swivel Charlie

BTW the TDR is the loudest box I've heard by far .

Idok's TDR with front exhaust shattered my spleen with the noise.
