Other What should I do?

the one 300 I rode I couldn't even get going fast enough to get on a plane

Hehe, yes... Let's say it's a one of a kind experience. I remember the first day on the thing...lake erie, semi choppy lake, and I'm wondering if the thing even has enough power to get up. There is a little secret though, if it's even a secret. On your knees punch the throttle and stand up right away and lean forward like you want to rape the pole. Once you get used to that you can be on plane in 10 seconds. Once you get the thing up you punch the throttle for 30 seconds and you are honestly hopping about pretty quick, relatively speaking. I'd say top speed is around 32-35 mph wide open in a strait line. I've heard the 550's aren't much faster wide open, they just have more bottom end. But really, you all have convinced me to skip this old kawi BS and just save my money for the SJ.

That's awesome and totally what its all about, having fun and helping people.

Hell yeah, El Joker is the man. This was the first stand up site I found and I feel lucky to have found this community. Hopefully one day I'll have a slick modded out superjet in my sig helping out the new guy with the 300 on the cheap.

I was in your shoes when I first found this site. Rocking a 550sx! Now I have a 04 superjet pretty dialed in to my liking. I don't remember how I found the X but its the best thing since sliced bread. There literally is nothing to compare it to, its the only of its kind for stand up freeride/freestyle. In the u.s. at least...

The X might be better than sliced bread. I've learned more in a year here than I've ever could have imagined. Way more than a turkey sandwich could teach me. :261:

Lame ass jokes a side...you are all a really great bunch. ESPECIALLY considering some of the stupid questions I've asked thus far. Like, thinking I could bolt a 750 in to my 300.

You pretty much can you just gotta buy a conversion plate for like 125 and your pretty much set besides electronics, intake and exhaust. But I sent you a pm. Tomorrow after noon your skat-trak 5.5 will be on its way.

Could we talk more about this? General conversion of a 300sx that is. I saw a thread here with a 300sx 701 conversion. What is it with the 300sx hull that makes it such a popular conversion ski. I see more conversion threads about 300sx's than ANY other ski combined it seems. I thought they were one of the hardest to convert due to the fact that the 300sx hull is NOT bolt on operation like a js300 hull. Is it just the way the hull rides. I do like the ride, but keep in mind I've never ridden anything else.

The reason why the 300sx is always converted is because it is the closest stock hull that is backflip oriented. It has a similar shape as a bob which a lot of people like and they can manipulate it to match that style.
